Please be praying with us. A week ago we got word that we will not be getting a large amount of our monthly support ($500) worth. We are waiting on the Lord through November, but if at the end of November, we can not get that replaced, we will have to start making arrangements to head home. Today was Dave, the guy Sandy has been working with on the auditoirums last day and it will be hard for Faith to loose Sandy also , here shortly. Jake is into his 2nd Qtr in his Jr year and it will be tough for him as well to leave. We trust the Lord and whatever he has in store for us , we will be ok with. We would have to sell our truck and find a person to rent our house, as our lease goes til August 08. There will be alot to do in a short amount of time.

Our Family and Ministry

- At present,we are serving with New Tribes Mission in Manila, Philippines,at Faith Academy. Sandy is supervising the construction of an auditorium being built and a remodel of the science Dept.on site.It should be complete by December 2008. There are many other projects Faith will be working on directly after. Rhonda continues to be a housewife and Mom and helping in Kinder, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade art classes this year. Jake is a big senior in High School at Faith Academy and loving being the big guy on campus.Sam has moved out on his own, living in Fresno, California,he has just started Fresno Pacific University and has just got hired as High School Director at our home church, Campus Bible Church. Our prayer is that God will work in and through us, here in the Philippines and wherever the Lord sends us!

A bit of history about us
Sandy started going on short-term mission trips in 1996 or so with Jaron Ministries. Our family went on a short-term mission trip to Brazil about 1998. It was a great experience, but I (Rhonda) was glad to get back home. I was fine with Sandy going on these short-term trips and me staying home and taking care of our business and the kids. He would come home so excited about missions and tell me to pray about going or even better yet consider going full time. I didn’t want to consider leaving my comfort zone, my little house in California, the kids in public school and me going and helping out in the classrooms each week, the whole American idea. Sandy took our son Sam, who at the time was 13 on one of his trips and Sam, began to sense God calling us as a family to the mission field, and Sam came home and shared his heart with me. Sam went again when he was 15. The Lord continued to confirm his plan for missions in our family, while working on my heart. I told Sandy about what the Lord was telling me and of course he was so excited, we began the process of applying with New Tribes Mission. We were accepted as associate members August 2003 and sold our business and our home and moved to Palawan, Philippines, February 10th, 2004. Sandy was the Short-term mission Coordinator for Palawan and the Construction Coordinator for New Tribes Mission in Puerto Princesa for 2 1/1 years. Within this time, Jake had started Faith Academyin Manila and on the island of Luzon,about 400 miles away from us, living in the dorm. I (Rhonda) could not handle taking Sam home to Calif. To start college and be away from Jake too. We began to pray for Sandy, I and Jake to be together as a family. The Lord worked quickly and in August 2007, we moved to Manila at Faith Academy for Sandy to be the Construction Supervisor on the new Dick and Helen Cadd Fine Arts Auditorium/classroom Center. We have seen Gods faithfulness throughout our journey and feel so blessed to be a part of Gods plan to reach the unreached with the gospel.
